Club Sports

Carrigaline Macra Na Feirme offers a busy calendar of sports events to keep members active throughout the year. While many clubs organise their own weekly sports activities, participation in the national sports competitions is also open to all members.

This year the club organised a weekly sports night in Riverstick Hall on Wednesday nights during the winter months. It has proven very successful among the members and we can’t wait to recommence the new season! We play a variety of sports in rotation such as indoor soccer, basketball, dodge ball and uni-hoc. New members are always welcome to join in.

The Club and region provides an excellent sports programme throughout the Macra year.

Here are some of the great sports competitions available to Macra members.

Mens Indoor soccer: 5-A-Side soccer played throughout the year on a league basis until the semi-finals are sorted between the top four teams. This year Carrigaline were beaten in the Seandun final in Carrigtwohill Community Hall. The winners Knockraha went on to represent the region in the national final in Gormanstown in Co; Meath.
